These nice motifs are traditional embroidery patterns of Torockó, which is a former Hungarian folklore region located in Transylvania. The motifs are made with cross stitches and also flat stitches. A common element of this pattern is the lily, which is a multifaceted symbol of purity, femininity and fertility. Sometimes the leaves are replaced by the head of a bird, and at the end of the waves they embroider a snake, which is a type of the ancient guarding animals.

These nice flowers are traditional embroidery motifs of the southeastern part of the Great Hungarian Plain. There are many beautiful patterns on it. The pomegranade is an important element of the embroidery, which is an ancient symbol of fertility and immortality, as well of generosity and patriotism. Its beauty is given by varies of different shades of each color.

Palóc embroidery is characterized traditionally by stylized motifs. Mostly red-blue, geometric and floral patterns are known, but animal and bird shapes can also be found. There are usually a central blooming flower element on the embroideries, for example carnation, rose or lily of the valley. They are the symbols of devotional love. They are enriched with buds, leaves, oaks, and kernels, wich symbolizes the circle of life.
