These nice flowers are traditional embroidery motifs of central Hungary. The peasant women in Kalocsa (the central town of this area) embroidered different clothes of the upper-class citizens of major cities even in the 19th century, usually with white thread. At the beginning of the 20th century they began to use colored thread, which made it famous all over the world. The falcon, in the middle of the flowers is an ancient Hungarian symbol, that you can find often on the 10th century archaeological finds.
